Allison Fonda is currently the Assistant Hot Shop Manager at Neusole Glassworks. She came to Cincinnati after working as the Assistant Glass Education Center Coordinator at Salem County Community College. She graduated from the glass program at Temple University’s Tyler School of Art in the spring of 2012. Her work consists of mixed media arts focusing primarily in glass and deals with issues surrounding some of the most intense aspects of ones life and transforms them into beautiful moments. She has received a full scholarship to study at Penland School of Crafts with Scott Darlington in 2010 and a half scholarship to Pilchuck Glass School in 2011 with Eddie Bernard. In 2013 she took a class with Carmen Lozar at Pilchuck entitled “Thought and Flame.” As the elected President of the Tyler Glass Guild she was heavily involved in fundraising, publicity and the visiting artist program for the glass department. She has been a teaching assistant at Tyler School of Art and East Falls Glassworks, Philadelphia. In addition to receiving the Glass Guilder Award in 2009- 2010, she was also shown in the Tyler School of Art 2010 juried BFA show. In December 2011, she put on her own solo thesis exhibition at The Hachetory Gallery in Philadelphia, entitled “Psychotropia.”
